Hello! I'm starting this blog about my adventure in ballet. I'm in my mid-teens and I am going to start taking ballet classes. I used to take ballet when I was four but for some reason I hated it and I stopped. But now I LOVE ballet and I wish I had stuck stuck with it when I was younger so I could be a professional dancer. I still want to be a professional ballet dancer, but I know that is nearly impossible since most girls my age would already be apprenticing for a company. I'm still not going to give up my dream of dancing professionally, but for now I'll just focus on dancing for my love of ballet. I have not begun my classes yet, but I will write all about them as soon as I begin.

I am fairly flexible but I can't do the splits. So to prepare for the class I've been stretching everyday. In just a couple days I've already seen a major improvement. If you're wondering what stretches to do, just google it. There are tons of websites with different stretches. I measured today to see how far off the ground I am when I do the splits and it's about 6 inches. And thats for the front splits. I can barely do the side splits, I'm almost a foot off the ground.
